NEWS:

Season Wrap-up!
And as quickly as our beloved football season arrived...it leaves with the quickness! It was definitely an interesting season to say the least with the multitude of postponed games, the Infamous Peewee Blitzing issue, the complaints about JUST HOW BIG the Scarlet Knights were (They were huge! But hey...it's football), but all in all everyone loved every second of the 2011 Season!! The ups and downs, the laughs and cries, the triumphs and failures...it will all be remembered! The way all of our players grew from August to November cannot be overstated! Job well done to every player, coach, and parent who made this season happen!! Let's come back and make the 2012 Season the best one yet! For us here at SYFCA...the work has already BEGUN!

CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY!!
If you made it out to Smith Lake Park on Saturday, November 5th then you already know what a great day it was for football. The atmosphere was fitting for the games that were played! But when the dust settled...there could only be four champions! Congratulations to Tom Davis' Senior Giants, Willie Johnson's Junior Scarlet Knights, Justin Myers' Intermediate Warriors, and Mike Flynn's Peewee Redskins on becoming CHAMPIONS!

URGENT PEEWEE REMINDER:
There are certain rules coaches/teams must abide by. Remember that a lot of our kids are playing for the first time. We are looking to build these players up fundamentally. In the Peewee division you are not allowed to blitz, line up over center, or line up in the A-Gaps. First offense during a game will result in a warning, but every time after that will be an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty of 15 yards. We have sent out memos on a few different occasions this year, so don't plead ignorance if it happens on the field. If you would like to read the memo itself feel free to click the link below.

Scores:
Please be sure to report all scores to Derek Bowen at his email address as soon as you possibly can after each game!!
